We would like to appoint a Teacher of Science to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 to start in September 2026. We are welcoming applications for any discipline although Chemistry or Physics would be preferred. Leadership opportunities may be available for exceptional candidates within the department or wider school.

All who work and are a part of The Hastings Academy are continually striving to ensure we are the academy of choice. We have a published admissions number of 180 (900 pupils in total) and host a special facility for up to 10 young people with speech language and communication difficulties.

Well-Being Ambassadors & Weeks: Our school has designated staff responsible for promoting well-being feeding back directly to leadership and organising well-being weeks.

Two-Week October Half Term: Our autumn term is the longest of the year. Instead of running an exhausting 8-week block followed by 7 more weve redesigned the calendar into two balanced 7-week half terms.
