St Vincents Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincents Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy East Melbourne Kew and Werribee.
St Vincents Private Hospital Melbourne extended its trusted state of the art health care services to areas west of Melbourne when it opened the doors of a new private hospital January 2018
The Services available at our Werribee hospital include orthopaedic obstetrics cardiology ear nose and throat plastic and reconstructive surgery urology gynaecology general surgery vascular rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities include operating theatres a day procedure unit oncology/infusion unit a cardiac catheter laboratory and a rehabilitation gymnasium.
Reporting directly to the Perioperative Services Manager at St Vincents Private Hospital Werribee this exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Theatre Technicians (Grade 3) to join our team on a permanent part-time basis 40 hours a fortnight.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to); Assisting the Surgeon and Nursing Staff with surgical procedures through provision operation and maintenance of theatre equipment and the positioning / preparation of patients.
Facilitating efficient Perioperative processes and ensure the smooth operation and running of Perioperative Services
Ensuring equipment and stock are available at all times for the other Perioperative Services staff.
The successful candidate will have;
Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance ( operating Theatre Support) from an accredited institution
Previous experience in a Perioperative setting.
Proven strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with staff of all levels
