Job Summary
Datadogs Product Engineering teams build the interfaces that customers rely on to observe monitor and troubleshoot their systems in real time. As a Senior Frontend Engineer youll lead the development of complex UI features used daily by hundreds of thousands of users across our core observability products. Youll collaborate cross-functionally to shape the user experience own architectural decisions and continuously improve the performance and accessibility of our frontend systems. What Youll Do:
- Design build and deliver scalable frontend features for Datadogs core observability products
- Collaborate with product managers designers and backend engineers to define user experiences data flows and APIs
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to long-term architectural decisions
- Improve performance reliability and accessibility of user-facing applications
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality testing and maintainability
- Mentor other engineers and promote frontend engineering best practices across the team
Who You Are:
- You have 6 years of experience building production-grade frontend applications at scale
- You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React
- You have strong knowledge of frontend architecture performance optimization and browser fundamentals
- Youve taken major features from concept to launch with minimal supervision
- Youre an effective communicator who can influence technical direction
- You prioritize user experience and have an eye for UI quality and detail
