The team

Youll join the Market Risk Management team of ING Netherlands: an energetic international group of around 30 specialists working in an agile environment. Were committed to empowering our people encouraging ownership and enabling everyone to flourish.

Within this team you will lead the Assets chapter a group of about 10 market risk professionals who use advanced behavioural models and deep client insights to help secure INGs longterm stability. We collaborate closely with business tribes Group Treasury and other risk teams to shape key product pricing and balance sheet decisions. Our work has direct strategic impact and influences initiatives across the bank from major transformation programs to business changes affecting profitability margins and risk profiles.

Roles and responsibilities

In this role youll guide your chapter shape strategy and contribute directly to INGs P&L and risk profile. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and coaching a chapter of market risk professionals empowering them to grow and maintaining a strong knowledge base in the team.

• Overseeing market risk management for the mortgage portfolio and other asset classes using behavioural modelling insights to support strategic decisionmaking.

• Acting as a trusted sparring partner for business tribes on pricing product features hedging implications and profitability.

• Representing Market Risk Management in committees working groups and strategic programs relevant to your domain.

• Driving change by contributing to business initiatives and major bankwide programs ensuring a smooth connection between risk business and treasury stakeholders.

• Building strong constructive relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance Group Risk Treasury business tribes and supervisory bodies.

To succeed in this role you bring:

• Strong market risk and or ALM modelling expertise including behavioural insights into client dynamics.

• Experience leading specialist teams coaching talent and enabling people to reach their full potential.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to understand stakeholder environments and act as a sparring partner to senior leaders.

• Deep understanding of IRRBB/Baselrelated regulation and its practical implications.

• A thorough understanding of the details of ING NLs product offerings the market dynamics including the competition and INGs risk governance.

• A proven ability to drive change and initiate improvements within complex or strategic programs.

• Quantitative insight with sufficient depth to challenge guide and assess modellingrelated topics.

• Academic degree (MSc or PhD) preferably in Econometrics or other quantitative studies such as Mathematics Engineering & Physics.
