The House of Commons Procedural Services is currently looking to staff the Committee Assistant position on a temporary basis for a period of approximately 6-month with the possibility of extension.
This recruitment and selection process is restricted to House of Commons Administration employees.
In this role you will support parliamentary committees and subcommittees by coordinating specialized administrative tasks using PRISM CMM and SharePoint to meet operational needs for committee meetings. You will prepare proofread format edit and coordinate the translation and printing of all documentation required for these meetings.
You will also liaise with Members offices and witnesses in collaboration with the Committee Clerk to obtain and compile the informationsuch as organizations and affiliationsneeded to produce accurate official notices of meeting.
The Committee Assistant reports to a Supervisor Administrative Services. The position requires onsite presence at least one day per week with additional days as required based on operational needs.

- Experience in drafting and proofreading various documents such as meeting minutes.
- Experience in inputting and maintaining accurate data in a computer system.
- Experience in preparing and coordinating correspondence.
