As aNetwork Engineer you will:
- Lead the design and planning of data center network infrastructure with a focus on security availability and performance
- Operate upgrade and maintain Fortinets data center network infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement through automation optimization and process enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and virtualization issues independently and collaboratively
- Provide technical leadership by actively sharing knowledge and supporting team members
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations troubleshooting procedures and operational processes
- Assist with hardware procurement staging and deployment as required
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide after-hours support
We Are Looking For:
- 3 years of experience supporting or operating mission critical environments
- Solid knowledge of network administration and industry standards equivalent to CCNA or higher
- Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies including BGP OSPF and VPNs
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills including experience with at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash Python)
- Experience with network server and systems monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix Prometheus)
- Basic working knowledge of server virtualization technologies (VMware KVM)
- Familiarity with DCIM or source-of-truth tools (e.g. NetBox)
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills in both English and Japanese
