Your Opportunity
As the Quality Manager AMO you will lead Jetstars AMO Quality System ensuring compliance with CASR Parts 145 147 and 66 the Part 145 MOS and the Jetstar AMO MOE. Reporting to the Senior Manager AMO (and operating as a key delegate of the Part 145 Accountable Manager) this role is pivotal to maintaining Jetstars highest standards of aviation safety quality and regulatory compliance.
You will provide strategic quality leadership manage audit and risk programs oversee engineering authorisations and act as the primary interface with aviation regulators and key internal stakeholders.
Youll be responsible for:
- Leading and maintaining the Jetstar AMO Quality Management System in accordance with CASA regulations and Jetstar requirements
- Managing the internal and external audit program including corrective and preventative action processes
- Issuing and revoking maintenance inspection training and compliance authorisations based on competency assessment
- Overseeing non compliance corrective actions investigations and risk mitigation through structured reporting and escalation
- Managing the AMO Risk Register and supporting enterprise Safety Management Systems
- Providing strategic oversight of engineering change activity and associated quality and safety risks
- Leading the development and delivery of the AMO Quality Strategy
- Acting as the primary liaison with CASA and other regulatory authorities
- Leading developing and performance managing the Quality team
- Driving continuous improvement governance and quality reporting to senior leadership
To be successful in this role ideally youll have:
- 10 years in quality and/or regulatory compliance including 5 years in quality leadership or 2 years managing quality systems.
- 2 years in leadership plus 3 years in civil aircraft maintenance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Quality Aviation Engineering or Management; LAME or Professional Engineer preferred.
- Strong operational aviation knowledge including regulations standards SMS human factors and AMO exposition.
- Proven experience leading highperforming teams; exposure to highcapacity passenger transport desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety quality and compliance with strategic and systems-thinking capability.
- Effective influencer and communicator with strong negotiation relationshipbuilding and problemsolving skills.
- Processdriven with experience creating and improving business processes; business analysis knowledge desirable.
- Strong customer focus with ability to identify and resolve customer needs.
