Job Goal: Provide support and test coordination level services for the Adult Education Direct Services Department. Work with Adult Education Direct Services Manager in coordinated efforts to serve AEL participants in designated areas. Maintain and provide strategic records management of student assessment data and in compliance with direct service provision for adult education.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or relevant course work preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in administrative/data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual preferred
Special Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong public relations skills
- Answer phone calls to the Adult Education Department with professionalism and courtesy.
- Works well in a team dynamic
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated skills in writing and editing
- Strong computer proficiency and software application experience
- Familiarity with student information systems and assessment platforms
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop maintain and communicate assessment calendars procedures and required documentation for adult education participants.
- Keep records for adult education participants and ensure accurate data entry into the state management information system TEAMS.
- Assist Direct Services Manager with compiling required reports and deliverables for the Direct Services Program.
- Collaborate with Direct Services Manager and instructional staff to ensure assessment gaps are lined up with instructional needs.
- Support instructional staff in interpreting data and understanding to contribute to student improvement.
- Assist in preparation of other reports as required by ESC TWC HGAC or other state agency
- Organize and develop a method for user friendly electronic system
- Provide reports spreadsheets or other documents related to each program as requested
- Operate a variety of office equipment including copier fax and other machines
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Standard office and classroom equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Working Sites:
Working Conditions:
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
- Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
