DescriptionResponsible for building prototypes incorporating electronic controls and PCB assemblies and for setting up and conducting tests on electronic assemblies or components. Other responsibilities include failure analysis documentation of test results and conducting basic repairs troubleshooting and routine maintenance of electrical lab test equipment. The Electronics Technician collaborates with an Electronics Engineer for the development of electronic components for new products and a Test Engineer supporting day-to-day testing and equipment repair activities in the test lab.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Understand and apply safe working practices in the lab including PPE and ESD equipment
- Setup test equipment data acquisition equipment and power supplies
- Test Troubleshoot and Repair electrical/electronic circuits and (test) equipment
- Fabricate and assemble PCB assemblies wire harnesses electrical circuits and prototypes
- Read and interpret technical/electrical drawings layouts schematics and wiring diagrams
- Gather test data formulate conclusions and write test reports
- Analyze failure modes and recommend improvements
- Specify and purchase electrical components and equipment
- Support 5S1 and other waste elimination activities

For This Role You Will Need:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field or
- High school and 3 years of relevant electrical/electronic work experience preferably in a (but not limited to) laboratory diagnostics troubleshooting or repair environment/function.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 4 years of relevant test laboratory experience
- Familiar with laboratory test equipment like oscilloscopes multimeters function generators power supplies data acquisition equipment (e.g. data loggers)
- Experience with hand soldering through-hole and SMT components
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel Word PowerPoint and Visio
- Knowledge of programming languages like LabVIEW or C/C
- Experience with practical problem solving and root cause analysis
- Perform basic electrical calculations for equipment and test setup test validation troubleshooting and repair purposes
- Experience with Bluetooth Wi-Fi or Cellular technology
- Experience with PCB layout software and SMT equipment: Print Pick/Place Reflow oven
- Ability to read analyze and interpret general technical procedures and regulations.
