Job Summary
The exciting opportunity
- Permanent part time role working Monday Wednesday 9am 5pm
- Manage kitchen operations at our homely 45 bed Shangri-La aged care facility in Hurstville
- Cook and present appetising and nutritious food with a focus on Asian dishes
- Lead direct and mentor a team of Kitchen Hands
- Consult with Dietitians and Speech Pathologists to implement menus that align with residents needs and choices
- Manage costs effectively control stock and identify efficiencies to meet budget
- Encourage and address feedback to achieve continuous improvements

About you
- Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care with expertise cooking Asian dishes
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
- Personable respectful and strong communication and customer service skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain)
- Working rights in Australia (sponsorship will not be provided)
