Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging chef who is eager to learn refine their craft and grow their career within a luxury hospitality environment.
Working alongside experienced chefs you will gain hands on experience preparing high quality dishes while developing the skills and discipline required to succeed in a professional kitchen.
What you will be doing...
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes to maintain Pastores high culinary standards
- Support senior chefs with daily mise en place and service preparation
- Maintain exceptional hygiene organisation and cleanliness within the kitchen
- Follow recipes and brand standards to ensure consistency and quality
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and efficient service
- Learn new techniques and develop your culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs
- Support stock rotation and basic inventory management practices
- Maintain attention to detail in food preparation presentation and kitchen organisation
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant in a professional kitchen
- A genuine passion for cooking and learning the craft of Italian cuisine
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work across a rotating roster including evenings weekends and public holidays
