Job Summary
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive and friendly primary school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Key Stage 1 practitioner to inspire pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more structured learning.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across the Year 1 curriculum creating engaging lessons that develop literacy numeracy and wider curriculum skills. You will foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment where pupils feel confident supported and motivated to succeed.
Assessment will be central to your practice. You will track progress identify gaps and plan targeted interventions to ensure all pupils including those with SEND or EAL achieve their full potential.
You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants and Key Stage 1 colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency across the year group. The school values innovation creativity and a passion for supporting every pupil to thrive.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Demonstrates strong classroom management
Maintains high expectations for pupil achievement
Works effectively as part of a team
