The Opportunity
This vibrant community school in Leeds requires an energetic and proactive Caretaker for a long-term temporary assignment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational safety of the site ensuring that the school buildings and grounds are prepared for daily use. This is a fast-paced role ideal for a practical individual with a can-do attitude who can adapt quickly to the needs of a diverse school environment.
Role Details
Site Upkeep: General litter picking drain clearance and ensuring all external pathways remain free of hazards during winter months.
DIY Tasks: Carrying out minor decorative works and fixing broken fixtures or fittings as they arise throughout the school day.
Contractor Liaison: Assisting the Site Manager in supervising external contractors during scheduled maintenance visits or emergency repairs.
Pay Note: This is a temporary position with a daily rate equivalent to the standard local government pay scale for West Yorkshire.
