These are our current challenges and future goals:
The Platform Engineer is responsible for connecting and stabilizing the companys core operational ecosystem. This role owns the integrations data flows and system behavior that allow commerce operations finance and customer support platforms to function as a coherent whole.
The focus is not on building features but on ensuring reliability scalability and predictable behavior across systems. By creating clean interfaces and robust foundations the Platform Engineer enables other teams including AI and Automation to move faster without increasing risk or complexity
This is where we need your support:
- Core systems and integrations across the operational landscape - Own and evolve the companys core operational systems and their integrations including commerce ERP warehouse operations finance and customer support platforms ensuring they work together as a coherent ecosystem.
- Data flows event consistency API reliability and failure handling between systems - Design and maintain reliable data and event flows between systems with a strong focus on correctness resilience and graceful failure handling across business-critical processes.
- Defining stable interfaces and abstractions that other teams can safely build on - Create and maintain clear integration patterns interfaces and abstractions that enable other engineers and teams to build solutions without introducing fragility or duplication.
- Ensuring platform stability observability and predictable behavior at scale - Ensure the operational platform remains stable observable and predictable as the business scales across higher volumes additional markets and increased system complexity.
You have the following experience:
- Strong experience working with complex multi-system environments rather than single applications.
- Hands-on background designing and maintaining system integrations APIs and event-driven workflows.
- Experience ensuring reliability error handling and operational resilience in production systems.
- Ability to think in terms of platforms and interfaces not one-off solutions.
- Comfortable collaborating with product AI and automation and operational teams to translate business needs into robust system design.
- Pragmatic mindset that balances short-term delivery with long-term platform health.
