About The Team

Following a momentous year celebrating our 50th Anniversary and receiving a $100mil gift - the largest gift for a WA university to receive the Murdoch University Alumni and Philanthropy team are continuing to shape the next 50 years.

Youll be part of a dynamic and dedicated group managing various philanthropic initiatives including major gifts bequests annual giving capital campaigns and research support. Were committed to enhancing alumni engagement by expanding networks and using innovative communication events and programs.

Your New Role!

Working alongside the Senior Philanthropy Manager the incumbent will develop and implement a sophisticated highvalue bequest program aligned with the Universitys strategic plan and philanthropic objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Develop and deliver a bestpractice bequest program including portfolio management prospect identification stewardship communications and alignment with major gift opportunities
  • Build and convert bequest relationships through targeted research personalised engagement and facetoface activity to achieve KPIs and philanthropic targets.
  • Support estate administration with Governance and Legal maintain accurate CRM reporting and actively contribute to team culture planning and broader initiatives.

This Continuous Part time (22.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $99697.00 $109844.00 (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:

  • Relevant undergraduate qualification with 35 years experience in fundraising marketing communications or a related role (higher education experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing bequest programs or similar fundraising initiatives with knowledge of bestpractice fundraising tax privacy and CASE guidelines.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including persuasive writing storytelling presentations and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners alumni donors volunteers and the wider community.
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills with strong attention to detail; serviceoriented solutionsfocused outcomedriven and able to work autonomously while contributing positively to team culture.
