We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Chicago or Minneapolis. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role manages large or complex surety accounts working with the team to develop procedures and go-to-market strategies. Maintains a thorough understanding of clients strategic priorities risk strategies and risk management needs to provide tailored advice.

Independently oversees and manages large or complex accounts and brings the entire team together to formulate the procedure and go to market strategy.
Works to maintain a near complete understanding of the clients business strategic priorities risk strategies and risk management needs to provide advice accordingly to successfully serve clients.
Utilizes expert risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place to review clients exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for complex clients needs including recommending additional products and services as solutions.
Develops presents and oversees the execution of renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with Placement Advisory Leaders and Client Executives across all zones where product industry or account criteria dictate.

We will count on you to:
Acts as lead advisory colleague on smaller less complex books of business.
Develops renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with the Placement Advisory Leader and Client Executive and executes in accordance with client instructions.
Analyzes quotes from carriers and provides analysis to more senior Advisory colleagues and/or clients to assist with developing solutions and renewals.
Supports more senior Advisory colleagues to reach business goals and RFPs through research and document preparation to support and assist the design development and marketing of new insurance and risk products.
Manages follow-up on coverage changes with underwriters to ensure the coverage specifications are correct.
Builds and maintains client and market contact at appropriate levels to execute effectively on clients program.
Contributes to the firms body of knowledge through active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions.
Contributes to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service.
What you need to have:
5 years of surety experience in a risk management or brokerage capacity.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge of insurance coverages.
P&C license or ability to obtain.
What makes you stand out:
Masters degree or other advanced degree.
CPCU ARM or other insurance designations a plus.
Excellent analytical project management and problem-solving skills

Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.The applicable base salary range for this role is $72500 to $154300.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
