What Youll Do:

As an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist you will manage the complete lifecycle of theTrusteessoutgoing vendor payments and incoming clientrevenues.

Your Impact:

The AP/AR Specialistplaysan instrumentalrole in the companys financial stability by safeguardingliquiditymaintainingaccurateaccounting records and fostering positive relationships withvendors and clients

The Role:

A valued part of the Accounting Team the AP/AR Specialistmanages the end-to-end process for both accounts payable(AP)and accounts receivable(AR) requiring a detail-oriented individual proficient in financial systems to process transactions andmaintainaccuraterecords

Specifically youll:

  • AP Duties
    • Work in tandem with the AP Administrator to verify and process vendor invoices in a cloud-based AP platformMineralTree
    • Communicatewithvendors andcolleagues to resolvediscrepancies with invoices and/or invoice coding
    • Review incoming paper invoices and route to theappropriate approverinMineralTree
    • Schedule and execute vendor payments ensuringtimelyprocessing
    • Manage vendor information and ensure compliance documentation is current
    • Ad hoc vendor and payment analysis journal entry submissionand other projects asdirected by Supervisor
  • AR Duties
    • Administer cloud-based AR Platform BILL
    • Createand sendaccuratecustomer invoicesBILLandthe general ledger NetSuite
    • Monitor incoming banking activity and communicate with colleagues to ensure that revenues are posted accurately to the general ledger
    • Apply customer payments and resolve discrepancies
    • Handle collections by monitoring aging reports and contacting customers about overdue payment
    • Deposit all checks received by the organization
  • Reporting and Reconciliation
    • Reconcilethird-partyAP and ARsystemswith thegeneral ledgerand resolving discrepancies
    • Support month-end closing activities and reporting
    • Maintain records andassistwith financial audits

This is afull-time exemptposition (40hours/week) reporting directly totheAssistant Controller.

What Youll Need:

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • A minimum of4-6years of professional experience in transactionprocessing
  • Associatesdegree or equivalenteducational experience preferably in an area related to Accounting Finance or Business Management
  • Digital literacy andproficiencyin MS Office Suitespecifically MS Excel
  • A proven ability to manage external service providers and their platforms
  • Strong communicationand customer service skills analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Abilityto fosterpositive professionaland productive working relationships withcolleagues clients and vendors
  • Willingnesstolearnanddevelopnewskills
  • Ability to transit to theBostonoffice to perform in-persontaskson an ad-hoc basis.

Preferred:

  • A Bachelors Degree inAccounting Finance or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite SAP etc.) and AP/AR automation tools (BILLMineralTree Concur etc.)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current authorization to work in the United States a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
  • A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
