Job Summary
This rolewill be a member of and serve asprimarystrategic advisor to the Corewell Health West Leadership Team (WLT)in Grand Rapids MI.
The director will apply rigorous data-informed analysis to develop sub-regional market and service level strategies providing strategic direction portfolio context and recommendations that inform opportunity assessment investmentplanningand implementation. The development of strong trusted relationships within the Strategy and Business Development Department the West LeadershipTeamand across the system is crucial to success.
This role requires strong executive presence and excellent writtenverbaland interpersonal communication skills to guidegoal-setting frame strategic choices and align leaders and teams around the shared priorities.

Key Functions
Regional Strategy Development &Mgmt:Lead the development and management of strategic goals and the overall strategic portfolio specifically for the Corewell Health Region. This includes tailoring growthconsolidationandoptimization opportunities to the regional contextguidingstrategic goal setting and alignment and clearly communicating the strategic intent to regional this capacity theDirector will ensure that the West regions strategic initiatives are aligned with system-wide priorities while also addressing unique local needsultimately strengtheningboth the region and the systems strategic position.
Sub-Regional Strategy Development:The Director will focus on delivering detailed sub-regional strategic recommendations tailored to the West regions specific marketshospitalsand service lines. Thisincludes guiding development at each of these levels and ensuring alignment with the system and regions goals while addressing local priorities. Success in this role requires strong regional development and network with leaders across the West region fostering collaboration and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned.
System-Level StrategicContributions:In additiontoregional responsibilities the director will be expected tocontributethe West regions perspective to system-level strategic planning. Thisincludingcollaborating with other leaders in the Strategy and Business Development department to develop and refine materialsfor the annual strategic planning process and ensure that the West Regions leadersremainwell-informed and proactively engaged in system-level planning processes fostering seamless alignment and collaboration across the organization
Plan For & Model Competitive Movements- In partnership with Market Development & Insights leaders co-lead the development and application of routine and robust competitor assessments scenariomodelingand response planning to inform strategic choices and ensure regional readiness for market regulatory and competitive shifts.
Shape Capabilities for Precision & Growth- Partner with Market Development BusinessDevelopmentand Insights teams to shape analytic tools that enable faster more precise data-informed recommendations and decisions.
