$1500 SIGN ON BONUSJob Objectives and Job Summary:The Head Start Health/Nutrition Manager is responsible for all Performance Standards in areas related to health and nutrition services (Sub-Part D health program Services1302.40-1302.44). The Health/Nutrition Manager will develop a Health Services Program Plan which will ensure that all children receive the required health and services within the time limits stated in Head Start Performance Standards and Vermont State Licensing. The Health /Nutrition Services Manager will also be responsible for organizing and hosting a Health Advisory Committee for the program to ensure parents and staff are updated on current information on health-related topics. The Health/Nutrition Manager will develop contracts with Nutrition Consultant and design a Nutrition Services Policy to ensure that the nutrition components are meeting the requirements. The Health/Nutrition Manager supervises the Food Service Providers in all the Functions:Develop schedule and facilitate the Health Services Advisory work with Tooth Tutor/802 SMILES with parents to determine whether child has ongoing sources of continuous accessible health care provided by a health care professional that maintains the childs ongoing health record and is not a source of emergency or urgent care and health insurance within 30 days of and facilitate health screenings for children within 45 days of determinations from health care and oral health care professionals as to whether or not the child is up to date on a schedule of age appropriate preventive and primary medical and oral health care based on the well-child visits and dental periodicity schedules as prescribed by the EPSDT program of the Medicaid agency of immunizations or exemptions for all children as recommended by CDC/State of 90 days begin to assist parents with making arrangement to bring the child up to date on EPSDT (includes oral health) as quickly as possible and if necessary directly facilitate provision of health services to bring the child up to date with parent a tracking system that will track health services for all children and childrens health records before Parent Teacher Conferences and share needs with to work on digital health files for all children by scanning health documents once received into the established system. Create monthly meal menus following USDA and CACFP at least 2 hours of mandatory CACFP training CACFP application food and supplies as monthly claims to a Monthly Report to the HS Director by the 10th of each month for the previous monthly with the Head Start Director to share how your content area is Coach Mentor with determining staff to be mentored for the program to Policy Council duties as Standards/Accountability:The Head Start Health/Nutrition Services Manager will follow the SEVCA Personnel Policies the Head Start Performance Standards the Vermont State Licensing Regulations Child Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) regulations and the Windsor County Head Start Policies and Procedures Manual. This position is supervised by the Head Start Conditions:This is a full-time salaried Head Start Health/Nutrition Services Manager is based at the Head Start Management Offices at Dunham Avenue in Windsor VT and will travel to different sites in the service area. Training and continuing education may be supported in part by the evaluation of employee performance will be performed annually.
