Job Summary
RPO Recruitments client well-established consulting firm based in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Mechanical or Civil Engineer to join its growing team as soon as possible. This role is suited to a capable and adaptable engineer with strong hydraulics (water) design experience and exposure to wet services and/or fire engineering.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong engineering judgement problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn and grow within the fire engineering space.
Requirements:
- BEng or BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 8 years engineering experience at a senior level
- Strong experience in hydraulics (water) design including: booster pump systems drainage systems hot water plant designs
- Understanding of wet services and fire protection systems
- Exposure to rational designs and fire sprinkler systems advantageous
- Retail project experience within wet services fire engineering or HVAC beneficial
- Familiarity with (previous reference to) SANS 10252 Parts 1 & 2 (Water & Drainage) SANS 10400 T (Fire) SANS 10400 P (Plumbing)
- Pr Eng registration or close to registration advantageous but not essential
- Proven employment stability
- Valid drivers licence and own vehicle (site visits required)
