Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Payroll Specialist to support payroll and timekeeping operations within a hospital/healthcare environment. This role requires hands-on experience with payroll processing garnishments taxes and timekeeping systems along with strong analytical skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance in a regulated healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll for hourly and salaried healthcare employees
Manage timekeeping data and perform retroactive pay and time calculations
Enter track and process wage garnishments taxes and payroll deductions
Review and process payroll transfer reports and verify benefits deductions
Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy compliance and data integrity
Maintain payroll documentation and records in payroll and HR systems
Support leadership with payroll and accounting-related projects as needed
Work across multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of payroll and timekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
Strong experience with garnishments taxes and year-end payroll activities
Proven analytical skills including retro pay and time adjustments
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience with QuickBooks Pay Choice or Payroll Associates
Prior experience supporting payroll operations in healthcare or hospital environments
