The opportunity:

Were looking for a driven individual to join the passionate team delivering our rapidly growing portfolio of degree apprenticeship programmes. As the first training provider to deliver degree apprenticeships we are pioneers in this space and growing rapidly - to date over 800 learners and their employers have chosen to build advanced skills in data programming and software engineering with us.

As Delivery Manager Learner Assessments you will be responsible for the smooth operations of all elements of the assessments that underpin our degree apprenticeships. This includes marking and moderation of modular assessments delivery of end-point assessments and all associated policies procedures quality assurance and learner-facing support. You will lead a team that ensures that we deliver assessments in a way that is compliant efficient and provides an outstanding experience to our growing population of degree apprentices.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Advanced Assessments function and internal Awarding Organisation for Multiverse degree apprenticeships owning the policies and processes that ensure smooth compliant and high-quality assessment delivery

  • Contribute to the overall strategy for degree programmes and assessments both as a key member of the Learner Services management team and collaborating cross-functionally with Delivery and other teams to drive improvements and provide seamless operations and learner experience

  • Oversee modular assessment marking and moderation ensuring apprentices project submissions are marked and moderated within SLAs and in line with regulations

  • Run the Board of Examiners the key quality assurance mechanism that awards grades and enables learners to progress through their programme journey

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of gateways and end-point assessments for which Multiverse is the awarding organisation ensuring policies align with regulatory requirements processes are compliant and efficient and data and feedback are used to improve operations and learner experience

  • Line-manage a small internal operations team and manage a pool of External Examiners and External Assessors (contractors) who deliver and quality-assure key elements of degree assessments

About you:

  • Experience of working in an Assessment Organisation/EPAO or awarding body setting

  • Experience of working with Office for Students and Department for Education regulation including managing External Quality Assurance visits

  • Familiarity with Apprenticeship Standards IfATE/Skills England and in particular degree apprenticeship policies and processes

  • AI-led mindset that seeks to drive innovation and efficiency in operational delivery

  • People management experience

  • Familiarity with version 1.2 of the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional degree apprenticeship standard (desirable)

  • Assessment-related qualifications such as IQA Award Certificate in Leading IQA or Award in Undertaking End Point Assessment (desirable)

  • Knowledge of the Office for Students Conditions of Registration (desirable)
