The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a dynamicManagement Analyst I who serves as a community engagement professional and brings energy creativity and a people-first mindset to public service. This position will be the champion for community initiatives such as Neighborhood Engagement programs neighborhood events and other special projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesThis role supports the City of Rancho Cordovas community engagement and collaboration efforts through hands-on people-centered work. The Management Analyst Ihelps facilitate communication support community initiatives and events and provide project and analytical support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support community initiatives such as Neighborhood Engagement programs neighborhood events and special projects.
- Assist in facilitating community needs and interests by utilizing or developing connections to appropriate community resources.
- Assist with planning and coordinating community events and related activities including coordinating event set-up and logistics in collaboration with internal staff and community partners to ensure all event needs are met.
- Assist with or administer community micro-grant opportunities by researching eligibility supporting administration and monitoring compliance with funding requirements
- Assist in coordinating and maintaining the Citys volunteer management platform.
- Support Community Engagement Division by creating presentations visual materials and short videos using Canva PowerPoint or similar tools.

- Conducts and prepares comprehensive reports and management studies including productivity and efficiency studies performance audits management reviews fiscal analysis and administrative analysis of organization systems and procedures.
- Prepare reports of study findings conclusions and recommendations including designing or revising forms procedures manuals and guidelines.
- Oversees and coordinates the development of the departments operating capital and revenue budgets in coordination with other divisions; forecasts financial requirements and recommends expenditure levels and budgets; makes budget recommendations; analyzes budget recommendations prepared by other staff; monitors the budget on a daily basis and takes corrective action at the fund level for multiple enterprise and governmental funds; oversees staff research of past expenditures and projecting future expenditures.
- Manages special projects and programs by determining with management the study/project/program objectives methods scope time frames information parameters resource requirements and fact-finding methods; prepares and presents complex statistical and staff reports recommendations agendas and minutes correspondence and provides research assistance and other support as needed.
- Prepares substantial planning documents such as impact fee studies long-term operational management plans and other policy development and implementation studies.
- Performs comprehensive fiscal/financial analysis and provides fiscal grant and contract management support; analyzes calculates and tracks financial administrative and personnel activities.
- Research grant opportunities and reviews grant guidelines and requirements to assess compliance with requirements and risks associated with receiving grants; prepare grant analyses and proposals; coordinates and prepares requests for grant funds and appropriate records and cost reports to various funding agencies; monitors active grants or contracts to ensure that all stipulations and regulations regarding the use of funds are met.
Additional Dutieswhen assigned to the Community Engagement Division:
- May provide event planning services by planning coordinating and implementing large community events coordinating city events community meetings forums and related activities; staffs various committees established by the City Council; prepare agendas and minutes; assist with research and other support as needed.
- May perform public information officer duties by disseminating public and/or educational information in writing by presentation advertising newsletters press releases or any other media or presentation form.
