Senior Leadership Role Full-Time (38 hours)

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Youth Services Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead MADECs Youth Services portfolio including Out of Home Care and Youth Programs.
This is a senior influential leadership role for someone who thrives in complexity leads with integrity and is motivated by creating meaningful outcomes for young people staff and the broader community.

As Youth Services Manager you will shape the quality safety and sustainability of services that support young people with complex needs and experiences of trauma. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership ensuring services are compliant compassionate and continuously improving.
You will lead skilled teams partner with government and sector stakeholders and embed trauma-informed rights-based and person-centred practice across all Youth Services.
What Youll Be Responsible For
Leading MADECs Youth Services portfolio with accountability for performance quality safeguarding and sustainability
Contributing to whole-of-organisation strategy and governance as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
Ensuring strong compliance with the Child Protection Act 1999 (Qld) HSQF Child Safety licensing and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
Acting as (or supporting) MADECs Child Safety Licensing Nominee
Driving high-quality service delivery across OOHC and YESS including referrals intake care planning staffing and continuity of care
Leading incident management risk management and continuous improvement
Embedding Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trauma-informed practice and evidence-based approaches into everyday service delivery
Providing visible supportive leadership to Coordinators and frontline leaders promoting workforce wellbeing and psychological safety
Building strong trusted relationships with Child Safety families funding bodies and community partners
Leading responses to critical incidents and contributing to organisational crisis and business continuity planning
Using data feedback and trend analysis to improve outcomes for young people
About You

Has extensive experience in youth child protection or community services including licensed environments
Brings strong governance compliance and safeguarding capability
Leads teams with clarity empathy and accountability
Is calm and decisive under pressure
Believes deeply in human rights dignity of risk and young peoples voices
Thrives in environments that balance care safety and complexity
What Youll Bring
Essential
Minimum 5 years experience in Youth Child Protection or Community Services
Tertiary qualifications in Human Services Social Work Psychology Youth Work or a related discipline
At least 3 years senior leadership or management experience in OOHC or complex service systems
Demonstrated experience leading trauma-informed high-risk services
Strong capability in risk management incident management and regulatory compliance
Proven experience supervising and developing leaders and teams
Highly Desirable
Postgraduate qualifications in leadership management or a related field
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) accreditation or equivalent
Experience as a Child Safety Licensing Nominee
Strong working knowledge of HSQF and Child Safety licensing frameworks
Experience in service design or funding model management
Mandatory Requirements
Current QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Current First Aid and CPR
Valid Australian Drivers Licence
