About the Project
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is delivered by ACCIONA in alliance with Water Corporation and Jacobs. It involves the design build operation and maintenance of a state of the art facility that strengthens Western Australias long term climate resilient water supply. The project supports millions of people and forms part of a broader strategy to secure future water reliability for a growing population.
About the Opportunity
You will lead the full lifecycle of electrical delivery across a large complex infrastructure project. You will drive scope design coordination schedules and budgets and guide engineers supervisors and commercial partners to meet project outcomes. You will report to the Project Director and work closely with client and delivery teams to manage risk resolve technical challenges and ensure safe compliant and efficient execution. This role suits someone who thrives in a high complexity environment and leads with clarity accountability and problem solving.
Key accountabilities
- Lead tender inputs and align client needs with technical solutions
- Develop construction method confirm design meets budget
- Manage program cashflow and contract requirements
- Direct electrical construction and confirm safe site delivery
- Identify risk and implement mitigation plans
- Use digital engineering tools to support planning
- Build collaboration across engineering and delivery teams
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or relevant discipline)
- 15 years experience in delivery with demonstrated leadership of design teams.
- Willingness to travel across multiple sites when required
- Commercial acumen with experience navigating contract requirements deliverables and change processes
- Ability to integrate constructability systems engineering and whole-of-life thinking into design solutions
- Ability to develop scopes of work delivery plans design schedules and resource forecast.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large and complex Tier 1 projects demonstrating technical depth strong coordination skills and the ability to drive aligned outcomes across engineering construction and commercial teams.
