Job Summary

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm (no nights or weekends)
Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood counts bone marrow biopsies and imaging studies.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
- Prescribe and administer medications including chemotherapy immunotherapy and supportive care therapies.
- Manage side effects and complications of treatment.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families about their diagnosis treatment options and prognoses.
- Collaborate with oncologists hematologists nurses pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Nursing and current APRN license in Florida.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and electronic charting.
