Quality Control Inspector Aluminium Windows & Doors
Job Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established windows and doors manufacturer operating from workshop through to installation. Our client is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure aluminium profiles claddings and accessories meet required quality standards before progressing through production.
This is a practical shopfloor-based role ideal for someone with experience in aluminium finishing powder coating anodising or manufacturing quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect aluminium profiles claddings and accessories for powder coating or anodising quality
- Identify surface defects damage or inconsistencies and report findings
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards before moving to the next production stage
- Apply protective tape to visible faces to prevent damage during handling and transport
- Prepare materials in line with PPC and designer specifications prior to powder coating
- Sign off PPC sheets for materials sent to and received from powder coaters or taken from stock
- Maintain accurate records of inspections defects and corrective actions
- Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
- Report quality issues risks or hazards to the Production Manager
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to working hours and break schedules
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in quality control quality inspection or manufacturing inspection
- Experience with aluminium products powder coating anodising or metal fabrication preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot surface defects
- Comfortable working in a workshop or factory environment
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Reliable organised and able to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience within windows doors glazing or aluminium systems
- Ability to read production schedules or PPC sheets
