Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are theprimary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. - Provides patient assessmentdiagnosis and treatment plansin accordance withstatutesâregulations and protocols regulating the profession.ââ
- Collaborates with the Medical Doctor staff psychiatrist nursing staff therapists and otherâmembers of the clinical team.ââ
- Provides primary care health services educationcounseling and emotional support.ââ
- Issues medication prescriptionsin accordance with treatment guidelines.ââ
- Orders laboratory testsinterpretsand explains the test results to patients.ââ
- Provides patient educationregarding medications risksbenefitsand reasonable outcome expectations.
- Communicates with patients and engages infollow-up as necessary.ââ
- Complete documentationtimely.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: The normal work routine involvesmoderate exposure to blood bodyfluidsor tissues.
- The normal work routine has aminimal ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
- The position may require aminimal amount of physical exertion (bending lifting twisting) in the work area.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:Masters degree in nursing.
- Certificate or Professional License:
- Current Certification or eligible to be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Currently holding or eligible to obtain Prescriptive Authority in Indiana.â
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) -certification must be obtained afterhire and prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must bemaintainedand kept current through employment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid -certification must be obtained afterhire and prior to providing direct patient certification must bemaintainedand kept current through employment.
- Valid drivers license and activeauto insurancecoverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminaland driving recordbackground checks
