General Purpose of This Position:

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor the Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for client invoicing and accounts receivable support. The Accounts Receivable Administrator works as part of a collaborative team interacting with various departments including Accounts Payable Purchasing Payroll Project Controls Operations and Engineering.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Health & Safety

  • Work in compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
  • Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report to Health and Safety Department.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

Contract Billing

  • Review and reconcile all client-specific contract invoicing details including but not limited to: labour equipment materials.
  • Prepare client invoicing in accordance with the contract agreements.
  • Obtain billing information from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized documentation of invoicing details; purchase orders service agreements contracts change orders etc.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure clarity of contract invoicing details.
  • Reconcile project costs versus invoiced costs and follow up on any issues or delays.
  • Circulate invoices for appropriate review and approvals.
  • Investigate and provide feedback for any invoicing queries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable and Collection

  • Follow-up of Accounts Receivable aging and collection.
  • Ensure all cash receipts are recorded daily.
  • Reconcile month-end general ledger Accounts Receivable balances.
  • Provide support for financial audits.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position would not normally have the requirement to travel.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in the Business Administration Accounting or related field.
  • Experience working in an Accounts Receivable and Contract Billing environment.
  • Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of contracts and contract administration would be an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft products specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the mining industry would be considered an asset.

  • Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Proven ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of a collaborative team as well as independently.
  • Possess problem solving analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable working in a paperless environment and proficient using Adobe Acrobat software.

Cementation Americas has successfully implemented a hybrid work schedule in all our Corporate Offices. All office staff have the option of remote work Mondays and Fridays while working the balance of the week (Tues/Wed/Thurs) in the office.
