As a line cook you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious dishes to perfection ensuring consistent quality and : Full-time permanent. Weekdays weekends and evenings. Wage: $18 - $20Travel: We offer transportation (both ways) with picks ups at Crowfoot LRT station (Calgary) & Petro Canada (Cochrane) OR a monthly Roam bus pass (Banff).Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute menu items consistently according to established recipes prep lists and plating standardsSet up stock and maintain assigned station before during and after serviceWork efficiently during service while maintaining food quality presentation and speedFollow all food safety sanitation and health & safety procedures at all timesMaintain a clean organized and well-stocked work area throughout the shiftCommunicate clearly and work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teamsAssist with prep work cleaning and closing duties as requiredUse kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptlyRespond appropriately to emergency or safety situations in line with hotel proceduresSupport a positive respectful and professional kitchen environmentPerform other related duties as assigned by kitchen leadershipSkills and ExperienceExperience/Ability to do the following:Forward bend squat forward reach to retrieve items from cabinetsRepetitive forward bend of head/neckLifting through height of 6 to 5(squatting or forward bend) from dolly to refrigerator shelvesCarrying boxes/bags of food a distance of 10 feetShoulder motions below 90 degrees shoulder flexionGross grasp to hold tongs spoonsRepetitive elbow motion in mid-range for choppingRepetitive wrist motions through partial range for stirring and choppingLift boxes of 50 pots of food: 25-50 food: 5-10 lbs. of force may be needed to stir thicker consistency foods such as mashed writing and oral proficiency in the English experience in a line cook position.
