The Commodity Manager shapes the companys global supply base through strategic sourcing supplier leadership and cost management. This role develops category strategies secures contracts and unlocks supplier-enabled innovation to deliver measurable savings and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
- Lead supplier selection RFI/RFP/RFQ and negotiations for LTAs.
- Drive supplier segmentation QBRs and corrective action plans.
- Deliver cost savings cost avoidance and productivity targets.
- Identify and mitigate risks across capacity supply continuity and compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering Ops and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic sourcing and category management.
- Advanced negotiation and contracting skills.
- Market intelligence cost modeling analytics.
- Supplier relationship management at executive level.
- Cross-functional leadership and influence.
Strong financial acumen
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Supply Chain Business Engineering or related field.
- 5 years in sourcing procurement or supplier management.
- Experience with supplier negotiations and global strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree.
- CPSM/CIPS or equivalent certification.
- Global multi-site procurement experience.
- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability in sourcing.
