Job Description:

Position Overview

Microchips Business Development Manager (BDM) drives growth by linking cutting-edge semiconductor solutions to customer-specific challenges. Serving as a bridge between field sales applications engineering and business units the BDM makes it easier for the Client Engagement and FAE teams to access BU resources to deliver meaningful innovation and create value through intelligent secure and connected systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead their business units efforts to grow Microchips portfolio across target markets and foster long-term strategic partnerships

Collaborate with sales and product teams to deliver comprehensive Total System Solutions (TSS) tailored to client needs

Capturing feedback and influencing new product development across engineering marketing and product management

Monitor competitive landscapes and perform market analysis to guide investment in emerging technologies and growth areas

Represent Microchip at key industry forums trade shows and technical events to build brand presence and expand client engagement

Partner with field sales and applications engineers to support design wins and accelerate revenue generation

Serve as a strategic liaison between business units and regional teamsshaping account plans and participating in growth strategies for key customers

Concentrate communication between the BU and field teams to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (BSEE required; MSEE preferred); MBA is a plus

7 years experience in business development strategic sales or product line management in the semiconductor space

Proven expertise in embedded solutions semiconductor technologies and systems-level architecture

Exceptional ability to engage cross-functional teams and lead complex client relationships

Outstanding communication presentation and negotiation skills
