About the role
The Graduate Nurse Program Coordinator leads and supports the organisation in providing a structured and supported Graduate Nurse program for Registered and Enrolled Nurses. The role is responsible for identifying and managing learning opportunities and providing ongoing support for Graduate Nurses across a variety of acute care settings.
This role is focused on support of the graduates who rotate through the inpatient wards.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning needs of inpatient graduate nurses
- Coordinate and facilitate study days to support Graduate Nurse learning and development
- Manage and direct other nursing staff within the graduate nurse support team
- Build and maintain relationships across departments to support and educate graduate nurse development and integration
- Work closely with the entire clinical leadership team to ensure success of graduate nurses
About you
- AHPRA registration
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent ( or willing to work toward this qualification)
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work autonomously proficiently and in an organised manner
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication interpersonal and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
