Job Summary

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
  • Experience and Knowledge on NFPA 70E Aerial Lift / Boom lift etc.
  • Experience in motors and motor controls variable frequency drives and PLC / BMS controls.
  • Ability to read complex wiring diagrams identify electrical components and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting control circuits.
  • Must be well versed in the use of voltmeters amp meters ohm meters meggers and amp-probes.
  • Uses guidelines from the National Electrical Code local codes safety regulations and standard practices. Wears PPE and ARC Flash equipment while performing live troubleshooting evolutions.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanic II youll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in Walla Walla WA youll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance on water/wastewater treatment plants and related facilities equipment on an assigned shift. Youll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to challenges that may arise in municipal facilities. Youll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings structures grounds machinery and equipment; lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions; replace packing and seals in pumps or valves; clean and replace and rebuild pumps and other equipment; examine equipment failures to identify causes and prevent recurrences; and install and set up new equipment. Youll also clean and paint interior and exterior equipment and buildings; clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipefitting tasks as required; use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat cut braze or weld; perform duties of painter in their absence; keep maintenance records; and perform other duties as required. Most importantly youll take actionto ensure the safety health and well-being of you and your team.
