Job Overview

Tekberry is seeking a motivated and proactive Engineer II IT Operations (Junior) to support the reliability performance and security of IT systems for our client a global leader in advanced manufacturing technologies. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid foundation in systems administration networking and automation who is eager to grow within a production-critical environment.

The Engineer II will work closely with operations MES and security teams to ensure high availability scalability and compliance of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & System Support

Monitor maintain and troubleshoot on-premises and cloud-based servers networks and infrastructure
Support system performance reliability and uptime across production environments
Implement system upgrades patches backups and recovery processes

Automation & DevOps Support

Automate routine operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools
Assist with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline support
Contribute to continuous improvement of operational workflows

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

Assist with incident response root cause analysis and remediation of system outages or performance issues
Support production systems to minimize downtime and operational disruptions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with MES SecOps and operations teams to ensure system integrity and security
Support deployment integration and validation of new technologies and tools

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate documentation of systems configurations and procedures
Ensure compliance with internal standards and operational best practices

Availability & Support

Support high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems (MES DNS authentication services)
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed

Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
1 3 years of experience in IT operations systems administration or DevOps-related role
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments
Experience supporting VMware-based virtualization environments
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
Basic to intermediate scripting skills (Bash PowerShell or Python)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus Grafana Zabbix SolarWinds)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS VPNs firewalls)

Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications (AWS Azure VMware VCP CompTIA Server)
Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management concepts
Experience with Aruba networking equipment and FortiGate firewalls
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Ansible)
Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Work Environment

100% onsite role within a manufacturing facility
Fast-paced production-critical environment supporting solar manufacturing operations
Requires participation in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support
Collaboration with cross-functional teams including IT operations MES and security
