Founded by former Michelin-starred chef Paul Rhodes in 2003 Paul Rhodes Bakery has built a strong reputation as the go-to supplier of quality handcrafted sourdoughs cakes and pastries in the capital. Pauls ambition when he started the bakery was simple: to provide Londons busy chefs with the best handcrafted bread made from the finest ingredients possible and traditional techniques.

Today as the bakery heads towards twenty-five years in business the goal remains the same and this ambition underpins everything we do. We have both a wholesale business supplying some of Londons top restaurants hotels cafés and entertainment venues as well as our local retail bakery shop which is based a ten-minute walk up the road in Greenwich Market.

Job Overview:

We are currently looking forapassionate bakerto join our team on a permanent basis. Wewant our bakery to be the very best and you and your role will be an integralpart of this journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in baking.
  • Prepare Sourdough breads from our various ranges and other baked products - this will include mixing scaling and shaping before baking.
  • Ability to produce Sourdough bread using manual and/or industrial processes.
  • Knowledge of Sourdough dough preparation times procedures and various baking techniques.
  • Ability to operate electric bread ovens.
  • Manage high volumes and monitor production consistently and professionally.
  • Ensure all products are made to set quality standards and in line with daily orders
  • Knowledge of health safety and hygiene regulations for food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your work area including utensils and equipment

  • Candidates must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
