Job Summary

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads pastries and bakery items to fivestar standards
  • Ensure consistency in taste texture and presentation across all baked goods
  • Support daily production for breakfast banqueting restaurants and inroom dining
  • Maintain strict hygiene food safety and allergen control procedures
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal bakery offerings
  • Monitor stock levels manage ingredients and minimise waste
  • Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • Train and guide junior team members in bakery techniques and standards

Qualifications :

  • 2-3 years previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Commis/Chef de Partie in a luxury or highvolume environment
  • Strong knowledge of artisanal baking techniques dough handling lamination and pastry fundamentals
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to Fairmont brand standards
  • Ability to work early mornings and manage production timelines efficiently
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
