Safety Manager Port Washington WI
As a Safety Manager in Port Washington WI youll play a key role in building and leading a culture where safety isnt just a priorityits a core value. Youll be responsible for driving best-in-class safety practices ensuring regulatory compliance and making sure every worker goes home safe every day.
HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Professional committed to continuous improvement and ongoing professional development to support our commercial construction projects by leading all on-site safety operations. This is a high-impact role for a safety professional who is passionate about protecting people strengthening safety culture and maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of safety operations on active commercial construction projects
- Ensure full OSHA compliance and implementation of company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct daily safety meetings site audits and inspections
- Complete accident reports and lead accident and incident investigations
- Monitor and oversee all subcontractors and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage and enforce safety programs related to Fall Protection Scaffolding Steel Erection and Excavation
- Proactively identify hazards and implement corrective actions before incidents occur
- Present safety updates findings and recommendations to project leadership and senior stakeholders
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
- Degree in a safety related field.
- OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
- CHST required
- Advance knowledge ofconstruction safety standards
- Strong knowledge in civil electrical concrete crane picks and working at heights.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior executives and project leadership
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to deliver feedback constructively without blame and with a solutions-focused mindset
- A confident field-focused leader who can influence teams and drive positive safety behaviors
