Job Summary

Description

This is a temporary 1 year full time position for the implementation of the NextGen EHR system.

SUMMARY:

The EHR Technician works as part of a team to help maintain and support the organizations electronic health record systems. This role assists with accurate data entry helps ensure system integrity and supports compliance with healthcare regulations. The technician provides technical assistance to clinical and administrative staff as needed learns new EHR systems and collaborates with the team on the design development and implementation of system enhancements and workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Learn and adapt to new EHR systems actively participating in design development and implementation of system enhancements and workflows.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand their needs and workflows ensuring the new system supports efficient and accurate patient care processes.
  • Assist in quality assurance testing and performance validation of the new EHR system to ensure reliability compliance and user satisfaction.
  • Support project activities by helping manage resources according to schedules reinforcing deadlines and applying project standards.
  • Help document report projects and changes to existing reports and contribute to developing guidelines for report standardization.
  • Provide general support to staff as needed.

SKILLS/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education

  • Candidates with demonstrated interest in computer systems and technologysuch as completion of relevant courses or certificationsare strongly encouraged.

Experience

  • 13 years of experience working in behavioral health environment
  • Knowledge of behavioral health terminology and healthcare workflows.

Skills

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry and database management.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and data security standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent grammatically correct effective professional and engaging
  • Understand basic Internet and client/server architectures
  • Understand how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects
  • Effectively communicate with team members and contribute appropriately to conversations
