Concrete Finisher

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Concrete Finisherfor the Elbow Rd Project inVirginia Beach Virginia.

The Concrete Finishers primary function is to smooth and finish surfaces of recently poured concrete to specified quality and textures with the use of hand and/or power tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Place cut level and smooth edges and finishing surfaces of concrete structures

Repair rough or defective areas of concrete surfaces including the application of cementitious materials such as cement sand and pigments

Grout and plug surfaces including dry packing and chip concrete as needed to prepare finished surfaces

Install and finish epoxy compounds on concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

Form carpentry experience is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing bending kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

RESPONSABILIDADES
Las responsabilidades incluyen entre otras las siguientes:

Colocar cortar nivelar y alisar bordes y superficies de acabado de estructuras de concreto

Reparar áreas ásperas o defectuosas en superficies de concreto incluyendo la aplicación de materiales cementicios como cemento arena y pigmentos

Realizar trabajos de lechada y tapado de superficies incluyendo empaque en seco y picar el concreto según sea necesario para preparar las superficies terminadas

Instalar y dar acabado a compuestos epóxicos en superficies de concreto utilizando herramientas manuales y eléctricas

Experiencia en carpintería de encofrado es un plus

CALIFICACIONES

• 3-5 años de experiencia verificable preferida
• Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras; puede ser requerido para trabajar en varias condiciones climáticas
• Requiere la capacidad de cumplir con todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad; comunicarse efectivamente con compañeros de trabajo y supervisores para asegurar que los proyectos se completen adecuadamente
