Metal Finisher
Are you meticulous detail-oriented and skilled with hand and power tools We are looking for a dedicated Metal Finisher to join our Oshkosh clients team and play a critical role in preparing and perfecting hollow metal frames. Required Experience At least 2 years of experience
As a Metal Finisher you will be responsible for ensuring our metal frames are flawless and prepared for the next stage of production.
Responsibilities
- Grinding sanding cleaning and polishing metal parts to correct defects and prepare surfaces for finishing using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Selecting the appropriate abrasives and tools based on material size shape and specific finishing requirements.
- Measuring and marking parts precisely to guarantee all grinding and polishing meets strict specifications and standards.
- Inspecting and verifying the quality of your finished work using measuring tools templates or operational testing.
- Filing shaping and smoothing grooved or irregular surfaces according to blueprints and templates.
- Performing minor repairs such as hammering out bulges or bends in metal workpieces.
- Maintaining a clean organized and safe work area at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- While 1-2 years of related work experience is preferred it is not strictly required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to performing work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to frequently lift 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
