Amazon is looking for interns to perform certain accounting activities in APAC accounting team. This position will be responsible for proper and accurate accounting of certain business operations and supporting audit. The duration of the internship will be 24 weeks start from May-June 2026. The intern will work in the Amazon Beijing office.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative creative and fast-paced environment. They should have a strong understanding of financial statements excellent communication skills (including the ability to identify and communicate controllership risks) and a passion for continuous process improvement.
WHAT WILL YOU GAIN
Exposure to cross-functional stakeholders in accounting finance tax technology and operations
Hands-on experience supporting accounting daily operations audit and new business initiatives
Insight into entrepreneurship and working in a dynamic multicultural environment
Development of skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Key job responsibilities
1. Support the Journal entries preparation account reconciliation and management reporting for Amazon legal entities.
2. Work with finance Operation peers / Central accounting to resolve and escalate issues noted from accounting reconciliation and follow up the action plan to ensure the issue is entirely fixed.
3. Attend projects that contribute to the teams overall efficiency.
4. Analyze data from various tools and systems for internal financial analysis reporting and documentation.
5. Other ad hoc tasks as assigned
- Pre-final year of Bachelors or above degree in accounting or data analysis related major.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills are required and the ability to use tools such as Excel Macros SQL and Alteryx is preferred
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal); fluency in English is required
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems independently in a fast-paced environment
