Job Summary

Your new role

As the Community Engagement and Intake Team Leader you will oversee the running of a suite of homelessness supports in the Central Highlands area with a focus on community engagement early intervention prevention and intake services.

In this role some of your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the high-quality delivery of services in these programs through working with the team providing first-line supervision and operational management of the programs and providing direct client support as required in accordance with program requirements.
  • Leading and supporting the team including routine supervision and connection into Unitings other practice and professional development supports.
  • Managing operational performance in accordance with contract requirements and ensuring value for money an efficiency in program delivery.

Your skills and experience
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering homelessness support programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading coaching and developing staff.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with consumers experiencing homelessness in a respectful compassionate and appropriate manner.
  • Valid drivers licence to drive in Australia.
  • Substantial experience in homelessness support sectors in roles support disadvantaged consumers
