Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Operations Manager to stabilize standardize and scale our day-to-day operations. Your primary objective is to remove operational friction and variability so that sales and fulfillment run like clockwork.
Note on Role Clarity: This is not a support role an assistant role or a project coordination role. It is a high-level leadership position focused on systems execution and accountability. You will own outcomes not activities.
Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities
You are the final arbiter of operational performance. While you will delegate execution to country and functional managers you hold the ultimate accountability for the following:
- P&L Ownership: Own the full financial performance of the business including cost control margin protection and working capital efficiency.
- Operational Cadence: Establish and enforce the weekly monthly and quarterly performance rhythms that keep the organization aligned.
- Cross-Functional Synchronization: Coordinate sales fulfillment and finance into a single execution rhythm to ensure demand meets capacity without sacrificing margin.
- Systems & Controls: Design and enforce the operating frameworks pricing policies and discount structures that reduce firefighting and founder dependency.
- Supply Chain & Procurement: Own the procurement strategy and supplier commercial terms to ensure supply continuity and margin protection.
- Data-Driven Governance: Establish reporting disciplines that provide decision-ready data accurate forecasting and clear performance metrics.

We need a stabilizer who thrives on order and results. The ideal candidate has:
- Proven Stabilization Experience: You have successfully taken messy or inconsistent operations and turned them into repeatable systems.
- Systems Thinking: You naturally see the machine behind the work and seek to optimize workflows so they no longer require your personal intervention.
- Outcome Ownership: You are comfortable being judged on P&L and operational reliability. You do not confuse activity with results.
- Remote Leadership: Experience managing distributed teams across multiple markets (specifically the Caribbean/LATAM is an asset).
- Commercial Acumen: You understand the levers of a distribution business including inventory levels cash conversion cycles and credit exposure.
Experience & Requirements
- Background: Previous experience as an Operations Manager Business Operations Lead or similar role with P&L accountability.
- Language: Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a significant asset but not a requirement.
- Technical: Proficiency in designing operating frameworks and using data to drive accountability.
- Soft Skills: High level of professional maturity; ability to enforce standards without micromanaging.
We are NOT looking for:
- Executive Assistants or Chiefs of Staff.
- Project Coordinators or people-only managers.
- Candidates whose experience is primarily supporting a leader rather than owning a function.
Key Measures of Effectiveness
- Achievement of revenue gross margin and net profit targets.
- Predictability and accuracy of financial forecasts and operational reporting.
- Consistency of performance across various Caribbean markets.
- Reduction in operational risk and individual dependency (the bus factor).
