Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add an Engineering Services Manager located in Flex Guadalajara.
This role involves being responsible for directing the planning development implementation and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods processes and operations for both new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials equipment and resources in producing cost-effective quality products and customer solutions.
What a typical day looks like:
- Maintenance Operations: Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and avoid downtime.
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement strategies for equipment to minimize downtime including the use of IoT or AI-driven systems.
- Facility Upkeep: Oversee repairs to buildings grounds and machinery including HVAC plumbing and electrical systems.
- Inventory & Asset Control: Maintaining accurate real-time records of equipment usage location maintenance history and repair costs.
- Oversees the entire lifecycle of machinery vehicles and tools during the mobilization operation and demobilization relocation of equipment/machinery installations and expansions.
- Team Management: supervise maintenance staff technicians and contractors ensuring high-quality work. Optimizing processes and team productivity. Provide training support and technical advice to operational and technical staff.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to OSHA local state and federal regulations as well as health and safety standards.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate with service providers and manage external contractors for specialized repairs.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage facility budgets including forecasting expenses and managing capital projects.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform failure analysis to resolve recurring technical issues
- Maintain drive supervise and implement robust technical standards systems and processes. Influence technology strategies and decisions with a high-level of expertise and knowledge.
- Compiling and presenting complex technical reports for consideration by stakeholders supervising project documentation ensuring responsibility for project milestone delivery.
- Plan and coordinate infrastructure annual and multi-year maintenance programs including advice on strategies and operational efficiencies.
- Development of long term strategic policies and programs in relation to asset maintenance and management.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
BA/BS degree
Advanced English level is required.
Experience in similar position in metal-mechanical manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting.
Flexible working hours availability are required.
Experience in preventive & predictive maintenance programs.
Experience in spare parts inventory.
Work on downtime reduction plans.
Experience in:
Acknowledge of equipment breakdowns.
Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
Keeping production managers informed of progress.
Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
