Job Summary
This role combines sophisticated air network optimization with hands-on operational planning. The position requires expertise in translating complex demand forecasts into actionable operational requirements while managing capacity across multiple nodes. The role is critical in ensuring network efficiency cost optimization and service excellence through strategic capacity management precise resource allocation and continuous performance monitoring. The ideal candidate bridges analytical expertise with operational knowledge to drive network performance and support business growth. The role will be based in Mexico City.
Key job responsibilities
Conduct network capacity planning analysis and optimization: create and execute capacity plans across network nodes daily implement capacity adjustments with planning team monitor network performance metrics and address capacity constraints support optimization initiatives through data-driven analysis
Operational Planning: convert forecasts into detailed operational requirements implement node-specific operational plans monitor and report on key metrics maintain capacity dashboards for stakeholder visibility
Support and optimize air routes initiatives for efficiency develop contingency routing plans balance cost optimization with service levels work with S&OP team on demand forecasting.
A day in the life
The day begins early with critical morning reviews of the previous day capacity performance network-wide utilization and adjustments for a better performance of the actual day. Through focused meetings and data analysis immediate capacity constraints are addressed and operational requirements are updated based on latest forecasts. During the day activities center on detailed resource planning and optimization where node-specific requirements for routes staffing and vehicle allocations are generated and fine-tuned. This period involves extensive stakeholder collaboration and real-time capacity adjustments internal system set up to ensure optimal network performance. Thursdays take on special significance with an enhanced focus on weekly planning. This involves converting forecasts into detailed operational requirements creating comprehensive node-by-node breakdowns and setting capacity for the upcoming week.
- A completed Bachelors Degree or 2 years Bachelors Degree program in Supply Chain Logistics Industrial Engineering Engineering or other related field or graduated within the last 12 months.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables vlook up charts)
- Intermediate knowledge of English
- Fluent Spanish
- Experience using Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- 1 years experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- Previous experience as Project Management
- Experience managing departments KPIs and driven results
- Logistics Background from Operations environment preferably from First-Middle Mile Ops.
