WHAT YOULL DO
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to establish Site Reliability Engineering within our SAP landscape to ensure stability scalability and performance across complex integrated enterprise systems. This role focuses on driving reliability and operational excellence for the SAP landscape at H&M by overseeing and managing initiatives that secure end-to-end system health automation and resilience across multiple environments teams and stakeholders.
As an SAP SRE Engineering Manager you will:
- Establish and lead a new team of SAP Site Reliability Engineering in Bangalore
- Lead efforts to design and implement reliability strategies for SAP systems including proactive monitoring automation and performance optimization
- Provide leadership and foster a culture of observability resilience and continuous improvement in the IT-Operations domain for SAP
- Oversee capabilities from a holistic SAP perspective such as:
- Observability Using newly implemented tools such as SAP Focused Run and SAP Cloud ALM in combination with enterprise systems like Splunk & ServiceNow
- Automation & Workload Management Analysis and optimization of workloads (particularily Batch Job mgmt.) in the SAP landscape
- Continuous Operational Excellence Leveraging IT-Operations best practices like the ITIL-framework and aligning with H&M Group guidelines
- Collaborate with delivery and operations teams including vendors to ensure robust operational practices across the board
- Drive automation initiatives of operational tasks with the aim to increase proactiveness and reduce manual intervention

WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with
- 13 17 years of relevant (SAP and/or Site Reliability Engineering) experience including 3 - 4 years of hands-on people management leading direct reportees driving performance reviews and supporting career progression
- Strong mentoring skills including having coached team members to align with both business goals and individual growth paths driving high employee engagement and retention.
- Action orientated as a strong trait who is self-driven and makes things happen through an ability to take initiative and drive improvements across complex SAP environments
- Significant experience working with IT-Operations and leveraging best practice frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- SAP knowledge and experience working in large & complex SAP landscapes in big organizations dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in financial planning activities such as budgeting forecast estimation and cost analysis to support strategic decision making and resource allocation
And people who are
- Knowledgeable and experienced in SAP Operations tools and systems such as:
- SAP Focused Run and/or SAP Cloud ALM
- Splunk (or similar observability tools e.g. Dynatrace)
- Batch Job management methods & tools (e.g. RunMyJobs SAP Solution Manager etc.)
- ServiceNow (or similar ITSM-tool)
- Familiar with SAP Functional/Application domains preferably show casing knowledge and expertise in one or more domains
- Proficient in analytical thinking and enjoys problem-solving as well as having a tactical and strategic outlook and awareness
