Role: Senior SAP BW/Datasphere Data Developer

Experience: 6 Years

Location: Delhi (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior SAP BW/Datasphere Data Developer to design build and operate enterprise-scale SAP data solutions that power analytics reporting and digital experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on SAP BW / BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere (Business Data Cloud / BDC) with responsibility for data modeling integration performance optimization and downstream consumption.

The ideal candidate is a senior individual contributor who combines deep SAP data engineering expertise with experience enabling analytics across SAP Fiori Power BI and modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric (preferred). This role plays a critical part in modernizing SAP data platforms while ensuring reliability governance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data models in SAP BW/4HANA (ADSO Composite Provider Open ODS Views Transformations DTPs) and SAP Datasphere (Analytical Models Views Data Flows).

• Build and enhance data extraction pipelines from SAP S/4HANA ECC and non-SAP systems using ODP CDS Views SLT and file-based integrations.

• Create and optimize transformations and routines (ABAP SQL Script) to implement complex business logic and data harmonization.

• Design and configure process chains and scheduling jobs to automate daily weekly and monthly data loads.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data load failures performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies across BW/4HANA and Datasphere environments.

• Develop and support replication flows and data flows in SAP Datasphere ensuring accurate and timely data movement.

• Perform performance tuning of queries models and HANA views using monitoring tools and runtime analysis.

• Design and build SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) stories and applications including models calculations input controls advanced formulas and data actions.

• Conduct unit testing regression testing and transport management ensuring stable deployments across Dev QA and Production systems.

• Document technical designs data models and ETL logic and participate actively in code reviews and technical troubleshooting sessions.

Key Skills and Expertise

• SAP Datasphere strong hands-on expertise (must-have).
• SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud) strong hands-on experience in reporting and dashboards (must-have).
• SAP BW/4HANA SAP BW advanced modeling and data integration (must-have).
• SAP HANA Modeling calculation views performance tuning best practices.
• CDS Views Development proven experience building complex CDS views (must-have).
• Analytical Fiori Apps development and deployment familiarity. (Good to have)
• Knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC). (Good to have)

Work Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in SAP world.
• Proven track record of successful SAP projects and initiatives.
• Proven track record of staying current with SAP technologies and trends demonstrated through participation in SAP events and continuous learning.

Education Requirements

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Systems or related field.
• 5 years of overall experience with SAP technologies.
• 2 years of hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere.
• 3 years of experience in SAP BW or SAP BW/4HANA.
• 23 years of experience in SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud).
• 23 years of experience in CDS Views development.
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP SAC and SAP Datasphere (must-have).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

Technical Skills

• Extensive knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA SAP BW Datasphere and other SAP systems and modules.
• Good to have experience with using SAP S/4 and related modules in a Healthcare manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Experience with Azure is a plus.
• Experience with the use of microservices to expose access to SAP functionality outside of the SAP ecosystem
• Experience with CDS Views Development proven experience building complex CDS views
• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) Data Intelligence or integration with 3rd party BI tools.
• Familiarity with database technologies including HANA Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming and SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
• SAP Certifications desirable but not required
  • SAP Datasphere certification (highly preferred).
  • SAP SAC certification (highly preferred).
  • SAP BW/4HANA certification (preferred).
  • SAP BDC Certification(preferred).
