This role is critical in designing and developing advanced electrical systems for biomedical test equipment radiation measurement and dosimetry solutions. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating reliable safe and high-performance products that support healthcare professionals worldwide.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead electrical design efforts across multiple projects collaborating with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering Firmware/Software Product Management and Compliance. You will play a key role in driving new product development from concept through production ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and development for new and existing complex electro mechanical products from concept to mass production.
- Architect and implement complex analog and digital circuits for embedded systems or other electrical systems .
- Develop schematics guide PCB layout and oversee board bring-up testing and debugging.
- Perform design reviews risk assessments and trade-off analyses to optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Author and maintain design documentation including schematics BOMs wiring diagrams and test protocols.
- Drive compliance with medical device standards (IEC60601-1 IEC61010 ISO13485 FDA 21 CFR 820).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Support manufacturing with test fixture design troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Engage with suppliers and external partners for component selection and design validation.
Technical Requirements:
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design including power electronics signal conditioning and mixed-signal systems.
- Proficiency in high-speed PCB design impedance control and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Strong knowledge of embedded hardware platforms microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Experience with wireless communication technologies (Wi-Fi Bluetooth BLE) and RF design principles.
- Familiarity with low-power design techniques for battery-operated devices.
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools: oscilloscopes logic analyzers spectrum analyzers.
- Proficiency in ECAD tools (Cadence Allegro Altium) and simulation tools (SPICE LTspice).
- Understanding of thermal management and electrical safety standards for medical devices.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
- Ability to develop hardware verification plans automate tests using scripting languages (Python MATLAB).
- Knowledge of firmware-hardware integration including board support packages and low-level drivers.
- Familiarity with compliance testing (EMC safety certifications) and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field.
- 12 years of experience in electrical/electronic product development with multiple full life-cycle product launches.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in medical device development and compliance.
- Knowledge of risk management and design control processes for regulated environments.
