Position
Come join WCF insurance as an Internal Audit Intern for an educational hands-on approach to learning about insurance and mitigating risk. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) temporary position that works out of WCFs Sandy Utah headquarters.
In this role youll gain real-world experience by working directly with our Director of Internal Audit participate in professional development through group learning sessions corporate training and networking events and contribute to impactful initiatives that protect businesses and communities across the region.
After the internship there is a possibility of a part-time position as an apprentice depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
As part of our internship cohort youll collaborate with fellow interns and departments to learn insurance from many different angles. The program includes weekly paid training sessions on insurance terminology and regular opportunities to share experiences and insights with your cohort.
In addition to these learning opportunities your primary responsibilities as an Internal Audit Intern will include:
- Work closely with the Director of Internal Audit and members of management throughout the organization to identify areas of risk and evaluate associated internal controls.
- Conduct audits perform audit planning fieldwork/procedures workpaper documentation report writing and presentation.
- Provide objective assurance advice insight and foresight and contribute to risk management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Completed three to four years of higher education in related fields such as Finance Accounting Business Administration or other related areas.
- Interest in Internal Audit and Risk Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $20/hour for internship. Increase to pay for apprenticeship.
